Sparked.com is one of the greatest things to hit social media (in my subtle opinion). I love Sparked. As Brandi from Dose of Honey put it in a recent comment, using Sparked is one of the best ways to spend time procrastinating. At least when you procrastinate by using Sparked, your wasted time isn’t really time wasted. Unlike spending counter-productive time on Facebook, spending time on Sparked provides support to nonprofits.
During my time microvolunteering, I’ve enjoyed learning new skills and working with nonprofits I likely would not have heard about otherwise.
Take Samaritans Offering Support, for example.
I responded to a challenge they posted requesting a new background design for their Twitter page.
Had I not responded to the challenge, I would have never learned of their dedication to helping those in need.
