Your Nonprofit’s Office and the Importance of Design

  1. Couldn’t agree more! I went to one animal shelter to adopt a dog. The front desk area was so dirty, with poop everywhere! I adopted the dog, but I remember not wanting to come back.

    1. Bummer. I’ve been to one too many poorly designed animal rescue offices. These days, anything that dirty draws up images of Animal Hoarders. I have been to one really great animal rescue office. It looked more like a clean, modern vet’s office than a shelter. I’ve been donating to the cause ever since…the cleanliness reassured me that my money actually does go towards improving the living conditions for the animals.
